Classic Homemade Burger Sauce – The Perfect Condiment

  • Author: Lucy

Description

This creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet burger sauce is inspired by fast-food “secret sauces” but made with simple, everyday ingredients. Whether you’re grilling beef, chicken, turkey, or veggie burgers, this sauce adds the perfect balance of flavor. It’s also great as a dipping sauce for fries, onion rings, and even sandwiches!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (for creaminess)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard (for a tangy kick)
  • 1 tbsp pickle relish (for crunch and acidity)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (adds depth)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (for extra flavor)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (for a subtle smoky touch)
  • 1 tsp white vinegar (to balance flavors)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Optional Additions for Extra Flavor:

  • A dash of hot sauce – for a spicy kick
  • 1 tsp honey – for a slightly sweeter taste
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped caramelized onions – for deeper flavor

Instructions

1️⃣ Mix the Base: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish until fully combined.

2️⃣ Enhance the Flavor: Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and vinegar. Stir until smooth.

3️⃣ Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust with salt and black pepper to your preference. If you like extra heat, add a few drops of hot sauce.

4️⃣ Let It Rest: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy: Use as a burger topping, sandwich spread, or dipping sauce for fries and onion rings!
