Mushrooms and Filling
  • 8 large large mushrooms Use fresh mushrooms for best flavor.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Cream cheese should be at room temperature.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Parmesan adds a savory touch.
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped Fresh herbs can be adjusted to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 tsp pepper Adjust for additional spice.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, chopped mushroom stems, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Stuff each mushroom cap with the mixture.
Cooking
  1. Place stuffed mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as an appetizer or with a crisp green salad.

Notes

If storing leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain freshness. For variations, try different cheeses or add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
