Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Fresh or thawed, if using frozen.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard For tangy flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For moisture and richness.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For added aroma.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice For brightness.
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning.
  • Fresh herbs (such as dill or parsley) For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Brush the Dijon glaze over the top of each fillet.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is flaky and cooked through.
  2. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the salmon; it should flake easily but remain moist. You can let the salmon marinate in the Dijon mixture for about 30 minutes for a deeper flavor. Experiment with different herbs and spices to customize the dish to your liking. If you want to switch things up, try adding a tablespoon of honey to the Dijon glaze for a touch of sweetness.
