Ingredients
  

For the marinade
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Can be adjusted for spice preference.
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the salmon
  • 1 lb salmon fillet Fresh salmon recommended for best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
  2. Divide the marinade into two equal parts.
  3. Marinate the salmon fillet in half of the marinade in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange the marinated salmon on a foil-lined baking sheet or in a casserole dish.
  3. Bake salmon in the oven for 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness, basting halfway with the remaining marinade.
  4. Serve hot, drizzled with the other half of the sauce.

Notes

Balsamic glazed salmon pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad. A squeeze of lemon adds a nice touch before serving.
