  • 1 pound Little Smokies sausages
  • 1 pound bacon, cut into thirds Cut bacon into equal thirds for consistent wrapping.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Optional, for added sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Optional, adjust according to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wrap each Little Smokie in a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  3. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet.
  4. In a bowl, mix brown sugar and maple syrup (if using) with black pepper.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the bacon-wrapped sausages.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked and crispy.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze tightly wrapped sausages. Reheat in the oven until warm.
