  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika optional
For the Bowl Base:
  • 4 cups mixed greens romaine, spinach, or shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup pickles sliced
Optional Toppings:
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 4 slices crispy bacon crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar mozzarella, or crumbled feta
  • 2 fried or poached eggs
For the Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika or Sriracha optional, for spice

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties, about 1/4 pound each.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F for beef or 165°F for poultry.
Assemble the Bowl Base:
  1. Wash and dry the greens thoroughly. Add 1 cup of greens to each bowl.
  2. Arrange cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and pickles neatly on top of the greens for a colorful presentation.
Add the Toppings:
  1. Place a cooked burger patty on top of each bowl.
  2. Sprinkle with shredded cheese or crumble feta over the warm patties to melt slightly.
  3. Add optional toppings like avocado slices, crispy bacon, or a fried egg for extra flavor.
Make the Sauce:
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, ketchup, mustard, and smoked paprika or Sriracha for spice.
  2. Drizzle the sauce over the assembled bowls or serve on the side.
Serve and Enjoy:
  1. Serve immediately while the patties are warm, and enjoy the fresh, hearty flavors of your burger bowl!

Notes

  • For a meal-prep version, store the patties, greens, and toppings separately and assemble just before eating to maintain freshness.
  • Experiment with different sauces like tzatziki, ranch, or balsamic glaze for unique flavor twists.
  • Grill the patties for an added smoky, charred flavor.
