  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries Ripe strawberries are recommended for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar Adjust quantity based on personal taste preference.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves Torn or chopped basil for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil Extra virgin olive oil is preferred.

  • to taste Black pepper Freshly cracked pepper is ideal.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the fresh strawberries and place them in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle the strawberries with balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
Assembly
  1. On a serving plate, place the burrata cheese.
  2. Top the burrata with the marinated strawberries.
  3. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves, drizzle with olive oil, and add black pepper.
  4. Serve immediately as a fresh appetizer.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a light white wine or sparkling water. Leftovers should be stored separately in airtight containers in the fridge, with burrata best enjoyed fresh.
