Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, and Cajun seasoning until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in 1 cup of the mozzarella, all of the cheddar cheese, chopped shrimp, crab meat, and half of the sliced green onions until evenly combined.
- Transfer the seafood dip to an oven-safe skillet or baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella evenly over the top.
- Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil or melted garlic butter and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Bake the seafood dip and the bread crisps for 18 to 20 minutes, until the dip is hot, bubbly, and golden and the bread is crisp and lightly toasted.
- Top the seafood dip with the remaining green onions and serve immediately with the warm garlic bread crisps.
Notes
Use softened cream cheese so the dip mixes smoothly and evenly.
Fold the shrimp and crab in gently so the seafood stays well distributed without breaking up too much.
Reserve part of the mozzarella for the top so the dip bakes with a golden, bubbly cheese layer.
Brush both sides of the baguette slices for the crispiest garlic bread rounds.
Watch the bread during the final minutes of baking so it does not overbrown.
Serve the dip immediately while hot and creamy.
