Method
- In a bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, Old Bay or Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Arrange the crescent dough triangles in a circle on a baking sheet with the wide ends overlapping in the center.
- Spoon the crab and shrimp mixture evenly around the wide portion of the crescent dough. Fold the pointed ends over the seafood filling and tuck them underneath to form a ring.
- Brush the crescent ring with beaten egg. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- As soon as the crab and shrimp crescent ring comes out of the oven, brush the top generously with the melted garlic butter.
- Whisk together the Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Place the creamy dipping sauce in the center of the warm crescent ring and serve while the cheesy crab and shrimp filling is hot.
Notes
Use cooked shrimp and drain the lump crab well before mixing the filling.
Arrange the crescent triangles with the wide ends overlapping so the ring holds together while baking.
Spread the seafood filling evenly around the wide portion of the dough for even slices.
Tuck the pointed ends underneath the ring so the filling stays enclosed.
Brush with beaten egg before baking for a glossy golden finish.
Brush the hot crescent ring with garlic butter immediately after baking.
Whisk the dipping sauce until smooth and serve it in the center of the warm ring.
