  • 1 lb chicken breast Boneless and skinless
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lb uncooked potato gnocchi You can use store-bought gnocchi
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • to taste garlic
  • to taste shallots
  • to taste Italian seasoning
  • to taste olive oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Sear the chicken in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 8–10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, sauté shallots and garlic in butter until they are soft.
  2. Stir in the flour to create a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, milk, and heavy cream until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the diced chicken and uncooked gnocchi to the sauce and mix well.
  5. Top the mixture with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or extra parmesan cheese. This dish pairs well with a simple side salad or garlic bread.
