Preparation
- Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, vanilla protein powder, baking soda, and vanilla salt. Stir to mix.
- Add agave, peanut butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the lined pan and press it down firmly into an even layer.
Chocolate Coating
- Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and coconut oil in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 20 seconds at a time, mixing in between until melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the bars and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Setting
- Place the pan in the refrigerator for a few hours to set.
- Once set, slice into 9 bars and sprinkle extra vanilla salt on top.
Notes
Keep protein bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze individually wrapped. Use natural peanut butter for better texture, and consider using dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
