Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 2 pieces ripe avocados (mashed) Make sure they are ripe for the best flavor.
  • 3 pieces overripe bananas (mashed) Use overripe bananas for more sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Use a gluten-free blend if needed.
Add-ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips You can use dark chocolate chips for a richer taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed avocados and bananas.
  3. Add in the brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, baking powder, salt, and all-purpose flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

This banana bread is delicious on its own but can be served with a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to three days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freezing slices is also an option.
