Preparation
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Heat milk until warm (not hot), then mix in melted butter. Add this to the dry ingredients.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth.
- Let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
Assembly
- Roll out the dough and sprinkle the crushed cookies and cinnamon on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Enjoy your cookies and cream rolls!
Notes
Serve warm, straight out of the oven or with a drizzle of icing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for up to a month.
