  • to taste Red pepper flakes Optional for added flavor.
  • to taste Lemon juice Optional, helps prevent browning of avocado if stored.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toast the slices of bread to your desired level of crispiness.
  2. While the bread is toasting, scoop the avocado into a bowl and mash it with a fork. Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice if desired.
Assembly
  1. Once the bread is toasted, spread a generous layer of cottage cheese on each slice.
  2. Top with the mashed avocado.
  3. Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top for added flavor if you like.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy breakfast!

Notes

For best experience, serve warm. Can be paired with a fresh fruit salad or a cup of herbal tea or coffee. Store leftover mashed avocado in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1-2 days. Prevent browning by adding lemon juice.
