- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, melted chocolate, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- If using heavy cream, whip it until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the chocolate mixture for added richness.
- Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Store the mousse covered in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. Stir before serving as it may thicken slightly.
