  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Adjust for extra sweetness if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the baby carrots.
  2. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. Drain the carrots and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir over medium heat until the carrots are well coated and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to add a hint of nutmeg or cinnamon for a warm, seasonal flavor. Leftover baby carrots can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
