Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, then the heavy cream and Italian seasoning.
  6. Bring to a simmer, then place the skillet in the oven.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook gnocchi according to package instructions until they float.
  9. Drain the gnocchi and add to the sauce in the skillet.
  10. Stir to combine and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
  11. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Ensure the chicken skin is dry before searing for extra crispiness. Don't rush the cooking process; let the chicken develop that golden crust. Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for more flavor and nutrition.
