  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 6 pieces burger buns
  • to taste coleslaw optional, for serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix on top of the chicken.
  4. Pour the barbecue sauce over everything.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  2. Shred the chicken with two forks in the crockpot.
Serving
  1. Serve the shredded chicken on burger buns, with coleslaw on the side if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a splash of hot sauce or extra barbecue sauce to the crockpot. If you want a thicker sauce, remove the chicken once it’s cooked and let the sauce reduce on the stovetop for a few minutes before serving.
