Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound frozen meatballs Use your favorite type, such as beef, turkey, or plant-based.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (such as penne or rotini) Make sure the pasta is cooked al dente.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Sprinkle more on top for added flavor, if desired.
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Garnish
  • to taste Fresh basil Optional, for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, combine the frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, and cooked pasta.
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the top and mix well.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
  2. Serve hot, straight from the oven.

Notes

Leftover casserole can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and warm in the oven to reheat.
