- In a microwave-safe mug, mash the ripe banana with a fork until smooth.
- Add the flour, baking powder, sugar, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt to the mug. Stir until combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Microwave on high for about 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds. Start checking at 1 minute; it should be cooked but still moist inside.
- Let it cool for a minute. Enjoy directly from the mug!
Notes
This mug cake is best served warm and can be topped with ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to one day. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
