  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing and mixing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush the slices with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
Mixing
  1. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Serving
  1. Once the bread is toasted, top each slice with the tomato mixture. Serve immediately.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm. A sprinkle of extra basil or a drizzle of balsamic vinegar can enhance flavor. Store toppings and toasted bread separately to maintain crispiness.
