  • garlic, minced, as desired
  • paprika, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • dried herbs, to taste
  • dried or fresh parsley, to taste
  • onion powder, to taste
  • garlic powder, to taste
  • seafood seasoning, to taste

Equipment

  • large skillet For melting the butter, sautéing the aromatics, and coating the imitation crab sticks.
  • stove For cooking the imitation crab and garlic butter sauce over medium heat.
  • cutting board For preparing the onion and garlic.
  • sharp knife For dicing the onion and mincing the garlic.
  • wooden spoon or spatula For stirring the garlic butter sauce and gently turning the imitation crab sticks.
  • Serving plate For serving the imitation crab with the seasoned garlic butter sauce.

Method

  1. Melt the first portion of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle in the paprika, black pepper, salt, dried herbs, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, and seafood seasoning. Stir everything into the buttery onion and garlic mixture.
  4. Add the final portion of butter and let it melt into the seasoned mixture, creating a rich garlic butter sauce.
  5. Add the imitation crab sticks to the skillet. Turn them gently in the garlic butter so they stay intact and become evenly coated.
  6. Cook just until the imitation crab is hot and glossy. Spoon the seasoned garlic butter from the skillet over the crab and serve immediately.

Notes

Use your preferred amount of imitation crab sticks and adjust the butter and seasonings to taste. Divide the butter into two portions, using the first to sauté the onion and garlic and the second to create the rich garlic butter sauce. Turn the imitation crab sticks gently to prevent them from breaking apart. Cook only until heated through and glossy, as imitation crab is already cooked. Serve immediately with the seasoned garlic butter spooned over the top. The ingredient quantities are flexible, so adjust the garlic, herbs, and seafood seasoning according to your preference.
