  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb sea scallops, side muscles removed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a baking dish and pat the shrimp and scallops dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Place the shrimp and scallops in a single layer in the baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the seafood and gently toss to coat.
  4. Sprinkle the Parmesan and mozzarella evenly over the shrimp and scallops.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and opaque, the scallops are cooked through, and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve the garlic butter seafood bake hot with lemon wedges.
