Method
- Season the shrimp with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook 1 to 2 minutes per side, until pink and tender. Transfer to a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli with a small splash of water. Cover and cook 3 to 4 minutes, until bright green and just tender.
- Stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes, if using. Cook 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss everything together in the garlic butter sauce.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or on its own.
Notes
Pat shrimp completely dry before seasoning if using frozen shrimp — this helps them sear instead of steam.
Red pepper flakes are optional; adjust to your preferred spice level.
