Cooking the Beef
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
Making the Sauce
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the orzo pasta.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is cooked.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is creamy.
Serving
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
