Preparation and Mixing
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Add all the ingredients into a mixing bowl.
- Mix everything together with a spatula or wooden spoon until combined.
- When the dough becomes shaggy, dump it on the counter and knead by hand until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.
Shaping and Baking
- Shape each ball into a rope and connect the ends to form a bagel.
- Place each bagel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the egg with the water and brush this mixture over each bagel.
- Sprinkle with your preferred topping.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once done, let them cool down a little before enjoying!
Notes
Store leftover bagels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for about a month. Reheat by toasting them for best results.
