Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 ½ cups Rice Krispies cereal Crispy texture
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats Adds chewiness
  • ½ cup light brown sugar Packed for sweetness and moisture
Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup honey Binding agent with sweetness
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter Adds richness and structure
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Enhances flavor
Mix-Ins
  • ½ cup mini M&Ms Plus more for garnish
  • ½ cup mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Plus more for drizzle

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the Rice Krispies, quick-cooking oats, and light brown sugar. Mix well.
Assembly
  1. In a small saucepan, heat the honey and creamy peanut butter over low heat. Stir until melted and combined.
  2. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well coated.
Setting
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Pour the mixture into the dish and press it down firmly using a spatula.
  3. Sprinkle mini M&Ms and chocolate chips on top for garnish.
  4. Place in the fridge for at least one hour to set.
Serving
  1. Once set, remove the bars from the baking dish using the edges of the parchment paper.
  2. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months. Consider adding a pinch of salt or sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor.
