Ingredients

For the shrimp

  • 4-5 pieces egg whites Beaten until white and frothy
  • 1 cup cornstarch For dredging
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup Walnut Pieces
For the sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayo
  • 3 Tbs Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3 Tbs Honey or C&H® Honey Granules or Domino Honey Granules
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust to taste for spiciness
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
For frying

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oil to 375 degrees.
  2. Clean and devein the jumbo shrimp.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until they are white and frothy.
  4. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  5. Dip each shrimp in the egg whites, then dredge in the cornstarch mixture.
Cooking
  1. Fry the shrimp in the 375-degree oil for 2-3 minutes until cooked and crispy.
  2. Set the fried shrimp on a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
Sauce preparation
  1. In a new large microwave-safe bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients.
  2. Microwave for 30 seconds, and stir well to help the C&H® Honey Granules melt into the sauce.
Assembly
  1. Dump the walnuts into the bowl with the sauce, add the fried shrimp, and toss well.
  2. Once the shrimp are well-coated, serve immediately.

Notes

Serve warm immediately after tossing in the sauce to maintain crispiness. It pairs nicely with rice or garnished with chives. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and reheated in the oven.
