  • 2 slices Sourdough bread Can substitute with other bread types.
  • 1/2 cup Cottage cheese Use creamy cottage cheese for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons Cream cheese Softened for easy mixing.
  • 2 tablespoons Jalapeños Fresh or pickled, adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Choose according to preference.
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste.
  • 1 pinch Pepper To taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Chives or green onions Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toast slices of sourdough bread until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Baking
  1. Spread the mixture generously over the toasted sourdough.
  2. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melty and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions if desired.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy your spicy breakfast!

Notes

If storing leftovers, keep the mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat the toast in the oven to restore crispiness.
