Jalapeño Poppers
  • 12 pieces jalapeños Fresh, medium-sized jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened For a creamy filling
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded Adds flavor and texture
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half Regular or turkey bacon for a lighter option
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For added flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder For added flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste To season the filling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Wrap each filled jalapeño with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve hot with ranch or sour cream for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze unbaked for up to three months.
