Preparation
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dill, chives, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix with a spatula until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the texture is smooth.
- Lay the salami slices in a single layer on a clean cutting board or a sheet of parchment paper.
- Spread approximately 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly across the surface of each salami slice, leaving a small margin at the edges to prevent overflow.
- Roll each salami slice tightly into a cylinder. If the salami is particularly stiff, secure the seam with a toothpick.
- Place the assembled roll-ups on a plate or tray and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow the cream cheese to set and the flavors to meld.
Serving
- Serve chilled as a high-fat, low-carb snack or party appetizer.
Notes
These roll-ups can be made a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. They are best served chilled.
