  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced For garnish.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for heat.
Serving Suggestions
  • cooked rice Use a generous portion.
  • vegetables (like broccoli or carrots, optional) Add for extra color and nutrition.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef, cooking for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes, cooking for 2-3 minutes until flavors meld.
  4. Serve the beef over cooked rice and top with sliced green onions and any additional vegetables of your choice.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the beef mixture cool down, then place it in an airtight container in the fridge. It will stay fresh for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stove. If you’ve made extra rice, keep it in a separate container for best results.
