Mango Fruit Leather

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe mangoes Choose ripe, sweet mangoes for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon juice of 1 lime Optional, for added flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Optional, to enhance flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 170°F (77°C) or prepare a food dehydrator.
  2. Peel and chop the ripe mangoes. Blend them in a blender until smooth.
  3. If using, add lime juice and a pinch of salt for flavor to the mango puree.
  4. Spread the mango puree evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, about 1/4 inch thick.
Drying
  1. Bake in the oven or place in the dehydrator for 6-8 hours, until the fruit leather is no longer sticky and is dry to the touch.
Finishing
  1. Once cooled, peel off the fruit leather from the parchment paper and cut into strips.
  2. Roll up the fruit leather and enjoy your homemade snack!

Notes

Store your homemade mango fruit leather in an airtight container or a resealable bag. It will keep well at room temperature for up to a week or can be refrigerated for a few weeks.
