- Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.

- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the chopped mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook until the mushrooms are softened and lightly browned.
- Spoon the mushroom mixture onto the toasted baguette slices.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.

Notes
Best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to restore warmth.
