Main ingredients
  • 1 cup peanut butter Use creamy for best consistency.
  • 1 cup oats Old-fashioned rolled oats work best.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Packed.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semisweet or dark chocolate.
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the oats, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are lightly golden.
  2. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed warm or at room temperature. Serve with cold milk or tea for a delightful treat. For an indulgent dessert, add a scoop of ice cream on top of a warm cookie.
