  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce Adjust to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice Fluffy white or brown rice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat well.
  5. Add the broccoli florets and cover the skillet to steam for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
  6. Serve the teriyaki chicken over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

Make sure to cut the chicken into evenly sized pieces for even cooking. You can use frozen broccoli florets if you're short on time; just steam them according to package instructions before adding to the chicken. Adjust the amount of teriyaki sauce to your taste.
