  • 2 whole Bagels Use fresh bagels for the best taste.
  • 4 oz Smoked salmon Choose high-quality smoked salmon.
  • 4 oz Cream cheese Consider flavored cream cheeses for added depth.
  • 1 cup Arugula Can substitute with spinach or lettuce if desired.
  • 2 tbsp Capers Optional garnish.
  • 1 small Red onion Optional, thinly sliced for garnish.
  • 1 whole Lemon For garnish, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the bagels in half and toast them if desired.
  2. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese on each half of the bagel.
  3. Layer smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Add a handful of arugula on top of the salmon.
  5. Garnish with capers and thinly sliced red onion if using.
  6. Serve with a wedge of lemon on the side for drizzling.

Notes

If you have leftover bagels or ingredients, store them separately in the refrigerator. Enjoy them within a day or two for the best taste. Avoid toasting the bagels until you’re ready to eat them to maintain their freshness.
