Preparation
- Slice the bagels in half and toast them if desired.
- Spread a generous layer of cream cheese on each half of the bagel.
- Layer smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.
- Add a handful of arugula on top of the salmon.
- Garnish with capers and thinly sliced red onion if using.
- Serve with a wedge of lemon on the side for drizzling.
Notes
If you have leftover bagels or ingredients, store them separately in the refrigerator. Enjoy them within a day or two for the best taste. Avoid toasting the bagels until you’re ready to eat them to maintain their freshness.
