  • 1 block firm tofu Use firm or extra-firm tofu for best texture
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder Adjust for less heat as desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
Cooking
  1. Spread the tofu in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the tofu is golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

Press the tofu thoroughly to remove as much moisture as possible to achieve the best crispiness. You can personalize the spice mix according to your preference.
