Pasta and Sauce
  • 8 oz pasta Any type of pasta can be used.
  • 1 lb sausage Italian sausage or your choice.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use gluten-free if necessary.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For sauteing the sausage.
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional) Adjust for desired heat.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sautéing the Sausage
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture over the sausage and stir to coat.
  2. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
Combining Everything
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together to combine.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding vegetables such as bell peppers or broccoli. You can also use different types of sausage or make a vegetarian version.
