Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 170°F (75°C) or prepare a food dehydrator.
- In a bowl, mix the organic applesauce and pureed strawberries until well combined.
- Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for 6-8 hours, or until the fruit leather is dry and not sticky to the touch.
Cooling and Storing
- Allow to cool, then cut into strips and roll up. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Make sure the mixture is spread evenly on the baking sheet for consistent drying. Check the fruit leather regularly towards the end of the baking time; it should be dry but still flexible. You can also experiment with different fruits like peaches, mangoes, or bananas.
