Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, dried strawberries, and salt.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey and peanut butter, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture over the oat mixture and stir until evenly combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For added crunch, consider mixing in some nuts or seeds like almonds or sunflower seeds. If you prefer a sweeter bar, adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to taste. Make sure to press the mixture firmly into the baking dish; this helps the bars hold together better once they cool.
