Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust according to the sweetness of the strawberries.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Helps balance the sweetness and enhances flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the strawberries with sugar.
  2. Let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes to allow the strawberries to release their juices.
  3. Transfer the strawberries to a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the strawberry mixture into a shallow dish.
  5. Freeze for about 2-3 hours or until firm.
Serving
  1. Serve this refreshing sorbet in chilled bowls or glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves or whole strawberries.
  2. Pair it with a dollop of whipped cream or alongside a slice of cake or pie.

Notes

To store, keep the sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. If it becomes too hard, let it sit out for a few minutes before scooping. For a smoother texture, blend longer until creamy. You can mix in other fruits like raspberries or blueberries for variations.
