  • 200 g feta cheese Use high-quality feta for the best flavor.
  • 100 g Greek yogurt For a creamier texture, add more Greek yogurt.
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil Drizzle some on top before serving.
  • 1-2 pieces fresh red chili peppers Adjust based on your heat preference.
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • Fresh herbs (like dill or parsley, optional) Feel free to experiment with different herbs.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, and red wine vinegar.
  2. Add chopped red chili peppers. Start with one for milder heat, then adjust as desired.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed, blending briefly to mix.
  5. If using, stir in freshly chopped herbs for extra flavor.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with a bit more olive oil on top.

Notes

To store leftovers, place Tirokafteri in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Before serving, stir and add a splash of olive oil if it appears dry.
