Preparation
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
- Microwave at full power in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. This usually takes about 90 seconds to 2 minutes total.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan immediately. Tap the pan on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles and level the surface.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until the fudge is firm to the touch.
- Once firm, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut it into 36 squares with a sharp knife.
Notes
This fudge can be enjoyed plain, with a sprinkle of sea salt, or served alongside fresh fruit or ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature or two weeks in the refrigerator. To make it last longer, it can also be frozen for up to three months.
