Ingredients

For the Fruit Salsa
  • 1 fresh pineapple, finely diced Use ripe pineapple for best flavor.
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, finely diced Choose ripe strawberries.
  • 6-8 kiwis, finely diced Adjust according to preference.
  • 3-5 peaches, finely diced (canned in natural syrup works too) Fresh or canned peaches can be used.
  • 2 cups red grapes, quartered Can substitute with other grape varieties.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips
  • 10 medium flour tortillas Can substitute corn tortillas if desired.
  • 6 Tablespoons butter, melted Use unsalted butter for better control of saltiness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon Increase or decrease based on preference.

Method

Prepare the Fruit Salsa
  1. Add the diced pineapple, strawberries, kiwi, peaches, and grapes to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Carefully fold the fruit together until evenly combined without crushing it.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the fruit mixture until ready to serve.
Make the Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips
  1. Cut each flour tortilla into 8 equal wedges by halving it, then cutting each half into quarters.
  2. Arrange the tortilla wedges in a single layer on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  3. Brush each tortilla piece with the melted butter.
  4. Mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl until well blended.
  5. Scatter the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the buttered tortilla wedges.
  6. Bake for 5-6 minutes, then remove from the oven and let the chips cool completely so they become crisp.
Serve
  1. Place the fruit salsa in a large bowl at the center and arrange the tortilla chips around it.
  2. Alternatively, serve the chips in a separate basket for easy dipping.

Notes

Use ripe fruits for the best flavor and sweetness. Feel free to mix in other fruits like mango or berries if you have them on hand. To make the chips even crispier, bake them until they are golden brown.
